Ra đời năm 1882, Đại học Waseda là trường đại học tư nổi tiếng ở Nhật Bản, đặt chủ yếu tại Shinjuku. Có khoảng 2000 sinh viên quốc tế đang theo học tại trường. 6 trường thành viên của Waseda cung cấp các chương trình Cử nhân bằng tiếng Anh và một số chương trình Thạc sỹ. Trường cũng mang lại cho sinh viên quốc tế các học bổng, hỗ trợ tìm chỗ ở, tư vấn thị thực, định hướng nghề nghiệp, giao lưu văn hóa và hỗ trợ gia sư.

Doctoral Education Support Project for Vietnamese Students

Giá trị học bổng Living stipend in amount of twelve hundred U.S. dollars (USD $1,200) per month during their stay at Waseda University and students’ international air-fare expenses and medical insurance fees will be provided to each admitted student by the VIED.

Yêu cầu của học bổng Vietnam International Education Development Ministry of Education and Training (VIED-MOET) and Waseda University made a Memorandum of Understanding on academic exchange (MOU), inaugurated this new project to support the Vietnamese Doctoral candidates. Applicants, who expected to graduate from their affiliated institution, are required to submit the degree/graduation certificates of the Master’s program when being awarded its degree. If certificates are available in not either English or Japanese, applicants must attach an English or Japanese translation notarized by public organizations, such as regional notary offices. Under the MOU, Waseda University exempts successful applicants nominated by VIED from the entrance fee, tuition fees, and other related fees toward to the PhD degree. At the same time, living costs and air tickets are provided by the VIED.
